WHY CHOOSE US?

Why is it BEST to have a Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA) when applying for a Student Visa?
  • Each case is UNIQUE. Eligibilities must be properly checked.
  • A student may need guidance on which programme and which school to study.
  • A number of documents are highly critical in the visa application.
  • Immigration NZ looks at study funds closely and has strict thresholds for EVIDENCE.
  • Genuine intentions of the student - Letter of Intent/Cover Letter.
  • New Zealand looks for HONESTY in the Cover Letter. i.e., if student wants to apply for a Post Study Work Visa (PSWV) after study – it must be declared.
  • A LIA can β€œlegally” discuss the NZ immigration PATHWAYS, for YOU/YOUR DEPENDENTS.
  • A LIA can guide you from START to SUCCESS… up until RESIDENCE VISA stage.
  • No need to β€œre-invent the wheel”. Learning the process takes time and effort.
  • MORE IMPORTANTLY, avoid being β€œdeclined” by Immigration NZ.

Note:
Non–LIAs are NOT legally allowed to represent the application of your dependents AND any of your further applications AFTER Student Visa.

Ray Donn Lim, New Zealand Permanent Resident

"Kia ora, GSIC and congratulations on your 20th anniversary celebration! I am Ray Donn Lim, a permanent resident of New Zealand and a national Bid Writer and Coordinator for Enviro NZ Services. You know, I was not even seriously thinking of moving abroad, but as fate would have it, I became acquainted with GSIC, and in 2017 through Sir Joel Angon and his fantastic and competent team, I began my journey as an international student with a dream of a better life in New Zealand. The rest as they say is history and I am forever grateful to GSIC for helping me start my New Zealand story. I am now at my happiest here in Auckland and I look forward to citizenship and growing my career further in this beautiful country I now call home. Once again, congratulations GSIC on 20 years of amazing and professional New Zealand immigration services! Cheers and onwards to 20 years more! Ngā mihi nui."

Ruby, New Zealand Citizen

"Hello, everyone! My name is Ruby. I'm working as Forensic Site Nurse here in Wellington. I am now a New Zealand citizen. So, all thanks to Golden Summit where I began through my beautiful agent Mam Rona. In this video, I would like to congratulate Golden Summit on their anniversary. You guys are amazing! I would also like to highlight as to how I started here in New Zealand. So, I came here as an international student studying Healthcare Management and the thing is like it wasn't really easy because I don't know anyone here in New Zealand. So, Golden Summit was really a big stepping stone for me, they are a big help. Mam Rona and Sir Joel are really good in reassuring me and my parents that you know I can settle here. Someone will pick me up in the airport and I would say my journey here is not easy, I mean it wasn't easy at all. I guess all our kababayans that came here they have their own stories to tell and I have mine and I would say you have to exert effort. In the end, it was worth it and I am now enjoying the privilege of a New Zealand citizen. So, I would just like to say to Golden Summit, "more powers to you guys and I hope you continue to help more people in fulfilling their Kiwi dreams here in New Zealand." So, that's all, thank you, bye!"

Mr. and Mrs. Rey and Vea Nacional, Both Working in New Zealand

"Kia ora, mabuhay! My name is Vea and this is my husband, Rey. I'm a New Zealand Resident and I'm working here as a Restaurant Manager in Christchurch City. Hi, I'm Rey. I'm under the Partnership Visitor Visa. So, back in 2018, nag Student pathway ako, I took up Level 7 Diploma in Hospitality Management at Ara Institute of Canterbury. Then, ako dumating ako last August 8 under Partnership Visitor Visa pathway. Then, sooner mag lolodge na din kami for a Partnership Working Visa. Back in 2017, we attended a Study Expo, I think it was in SM Aura. Tapos doon namin nalaman about all the options na for study dito sa New Zealand. So, I continued that pathway. It was facilitated by Sir Joel Angon and Miss Diana, doon ko siya na meet, si Miss Diana Carlos. And then, from then on parang September yata yun and then February 2018 dumating ako dito. Then, yung husband ko naman, silang dalawa rin yung nag facilitate ng Visitor Visa Partnership pathway para sa husband ko, kay Rey. Well, for me kasi I'm a Kitchen Manager when I was in the Philippines, so, pagdating ko rito ang daming opportunity as a chef dito. So, nakakakalma to be honest. And it's family-oriented, very safe for our mental health talaga dito sa New Zealand. Happy 20th Anniversary, GSIC! And more anniversary to come and congratulations! And sana marami pa kayong Pilipinong matulungan na makapunta dito sa New Zealand. Maraming salamat, God bless po!"

Shayne Basit, New Zealand Student

"Hi, everyone! I'm Shayne Basit, an international student here in New Zealand taking up my Masters in Information Technology. I am working as a Filipino Bilingual Support. I just would like to extend my warmest congratulations to GSIC for your 20th anniversary. Keep making Filipinos' dream come true! Mabuhay! Bye!"

Aileen Ang-Lauron

"Hello, everyone! My name is Aileen Ang-Lauron. I was a client with GSIC way back in 2004. I made it to the CAP program in 2005. My life changed greatly, like greatly, like I am in New Jersey right now but my life started in New Zealand. If it wasn't because of Sir Joel who believe and supported me emotionally and financially, I wouldn't be where I am right now. Like he invested his money on me because he believes so much in me and to the members of the company, Billie, Rona, Froilan, Girlie, Rose and Dan, oh the OG's I love them so much. Thank you guys for all your support at that time. Happy 20th Anniversary! Oh my God, it's 20th now and I love you all!"

Debbie Pelobello, New Zealand Citizen

"Hi! I'm Debbie Pelobello. I'm originally from Iloilo City, Philippines. I am an international qualified nurse here. I got my degree in the Philippines. I am now a New Zealand citizen here. I am currently working as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Lower Hutt Hospital District Health Board. Congratulations, GSIC! Cheers to 20 years of success in helping us Filipinos achieve our goals!"

Ben Burrowes, Acting General Manager International - Education NZ (government institution)

"Kia ora koutou, my name is Ben Burrowes, I am the Acting General Manager International at Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao and I've had the privilege of working with Joel and the team at GSIC for a number of years now. A huge congratulations on behalf of ENZ for your 20th Anniversary! You have all played a massive role in the bilateral relationship between our two countries and the people to people links that are such an important part of our special relationship. There are such incredible lives that you have impacted through your work of students heading to New Zealand. The impact that you have made on their personal and professional lives cannot be underestimated. Thank you! I look forward to another 20 years working alongside you and look forward to seeing many of you in the Philippines in 2025. Kia ora!"

Helen Kemp, former International Marketing Manager - EIT, New Zealand

"Golden Summit, GSIC, 20 years. Congratulations! My name is Helen Kemp. I used to be the International Marketing Manager at EIT, Napier, New Zealand. After Covid, I had to retire but I still have strong connections with EIT. So, 20 years and I have had the privilege of working with GSIC for most of those 20 years. In fact, GSIC was the first agency to send us the nurses to our CAP program. We have had so many good nurses from GSIC over the years and as you know New Zealand needs nurses and it's been a real privilege to work with GSIC sending us nurses but actually over the years, as we've developed programs we have had more students with Masters and PGDips in health science and business. What I really love about GSIC and how they work with their students is the care and nurture that they have throughout the whole of the processing business, starting with recruiting their students bringing them along, nurturing them, helping them in every way, what a marvelous team they are and then bringing them to New Zealand, sending them to New Zealand and sometimes the team also comes to New Zealand to make sure that they're all comfortable and enjoying their life and what they've been doing in New Zealand. They are also interested in their careers and what happens at the end of their time of their study. So, it's not just about bringing students from Philippines to New Zealand but it's about nurturing and caring for them along the way. This is the kind of agency that we as institutions in New Zealand want to work with. So, all the best for the next 20 years, congratulations once again!"

Kaye LeGros, former International Marketing Manager - Whitireia Polytechnic, New Zealand

"Hi from New Zealand! My name is Kaye and I have the pleasure of congratulating Joel Angon from Golden Summit. I tend to know it as Golden Summit, I know its official name is GSIC these days but I just wanted to say from New Zealand all the best for a great party that I believe you guys are going to have celebrating the 20 years of the company being formed. I had the pleasure of meeting Joel in 2005 when he came to New Zealand on the very first agent educational familiarization trip that was arranged by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. They realized that the Philippines was an emerging market and brought the agents over and I kindly met them and I saw straight away that this country had huge potential and Joel was one of those very passionate agents that wanted to work with New Zealand. At the time, I was the International Manager at Whitireia Polytechnic which is now Te Pukenga as part of the Weltec Whitireia combined vocational training institute and I followed up and went to the Philippines on numerous occasions and worked with Joel. I visited Cebu I think at least three times and met the team in the office there they also hosted me admirably. I can remember one amazing evening where I think everybody was on the dance floor but I also realized that those people had such an interest in New Zealand and from the early days when Joel started recruiting nursing students to come and transfer their qualifications to the New Zealand nursing qualifications, I found that I just wanted to work with Joel. He had this really genuine, honest way of promoting New Zealand. It carried on and we worked together totally with a big group of New Zealand Inc, we had the institutions, we had Immigration New Zealand, we had the Embassy in Manila, and we also had New Zealand Trade and Enterprise backing us. GSIC was integral in growing the industry from the Philippines and I now know that Joel has a large number of offices he has one even in Manila which is a pretty hard nut to crack and I just wanted to congratulate you all on the hard work of bringing people to New Zealand not only students but also workers and I just appreciate the shall we say the hard work and what it takes to grow a market from zero to what it is now. One point I just like to add before I finish is that I know that when Covid hit and the borders were closed in New Zealand, GSIC kept working really really hard and keeping relationships going and also ensuring that people were still interested in coming to New Zealand when they were able. So, just on behalf of the work that I did and the great times I had working in the Philippines, have a wonderful celebration for 20 years of hard work and I hope you have another 20 years in the future of promoting but wish I was at the party cuz I know it'll be a great one but well done Joel and well done GSIC. Thank you."
